James Cawley
CEO / Head of Trading - Axiom Global Partners, LLC
Cawley is the founder and CEO of Axiom Global. Founded in late 2002, Axiom is a CDS IDB that has risen quickly to dominate in Index Products & High Yield credit default swaps.
In investment grade CDS, Jamie Cawley has led Axiom to become a market leader in the following sectors: Banks/Finance, Oil/Gas, Paper/Pulp/Mining & Consumer/Retail. As recently as December 2004, James Cawley's Axiom, is the largest electronic broker of CDS in the US.
Jamie Cawley has spearheaded Axiom Global Partner's expansion into Europe, launching their London office with a staff of twelve in September 2004! In 2004, Axiom experienced close to 100% revenue growth (YOY), with a net income margin of over 30% for NY. In Jamie Cawley's two years as CEO, no fewer than five firms discussed merger or purchase options with Axiom Global Partners.

Axiom has ceased trading as of June 2005 as the result of a control dispute in which external shareholders, led by James Cawley control was won back of Axiom Global Partners, LLC from internal managers who then resigned.
James Cawley & other investors were attacked in the media by the departing managers.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania ('91), Jamie Cawley also founded DirectCellars.Com (1998), an online wine business that serviced customers in 35 states. James Cawley ultimately ended up selling it to Urbanfetch.Com, DirectCellars.Com returned 8.5x money to its investors.
Jamie Cawley also has several years fixed income sales & trading experience at Salomon Brothers, Lehman Brothers and Bank of America. In 1996, notably Jamie Cawley pioneered the emerging market Eurobond desk at Bank of America in London. In his first year of trading, Mr. Cawley won them recognition as one of the 'Top Ten Emerging Eurobond Desks' (International Finance Review).
